v3 - You can run games with a mobile graphics revolution

Mobile graphics revolution

Since Apple opened the App Store in 2008, serving player needs has become increasingly important to mobile device manufacturers. Although the iPhone was not primarily designed for gaming, they soon mastered the best-selling app lists, a pattern that was copied on Android devices and appears to play on Windows phones. Qualcomm, a major chipmaker for mobile devices, estimates that 60 percent of smartphone users regularly play games on their devices.

That’s why chipmakers have been racing to give mobile device manufacturers better and better graphics capabilities using dedicated processor accounts, which are now one of the most complex and powerful sub-systems on the device. These graphics processors paint hundreds of thousands of pixels at a time and not only display two-dimensional icons, images and videos (see casumo online slot starburst), but can play the complex 3D environments of many modern video games, such as calculating how the sun’s ray reflects a broken flag as it flutters in the game.

Qualcomm spent $65 million in 2009 to buy the handset graphics business for Advanced Micro Devices, originally part of ATI Technologies, an early leader in personal computer graphics processor accounts. ARM, which designs universal processor cores that boost most of the world’s smartphones, has placed increasing emphasis on the Mali graphics processor family, the first versions of which were unveiled in 2007. The overall importance of graphics has even been made possible by Nvidia, which created the first commercial graphics processor in 1999 for the PC gaming market, which entered the market with eight core graphics processors and a two-core processor on the same chip. “The catalyst was Apple’s iPhone,” said Matt Wuebbling, Nvidia’s head of product marketing. “It introduced a mobile device that is purely screen-based.” That is, it is based on a graphical interface in all interactions with the user.

One of the biggest challenges for companies like Qualcomm and Nvidia in developing mobile device GPus was providing advanced processing without draining the battery in 20 minutes. While computer graphics cards often require reinforced power supplies and a cooling fan, Qualcomm estimates that the latest chips make the scene almost as complicated as in desktop games, but use less than 1 percent as much energy as a desktop graphics processor.

See the rest of the Business Impact report for the gaming industry.

Because the mobile market is so big, chipmakers can make investments they couldn’t afford smaller destinations. Market researcher iSuppli says that 295 million smartphones were delivered last year compared to 27.2 million dedicated hand games, such as the Nintendo DS. The result has been a positive feedback loop: better hardware leads to more advanced games, which in turn dampens demand for better hardware. The development has been so rapid that mobile devices are moving toward the kind of graphical performance that is usually associated with video game consoles and advanced PC systems. Sony, for example, introduced Ericcson this spring to an Xperia Play phone that can play games designed for the original PlayStation console, and according to Apple, iPhone4S includes Imagination Technologies’ graphics processor, which is seven times faster than the iPhone 4.

As mobile graphics night increases, more and more users are likely to play some of their favorite games on their big-screen TVs by connecting their handsets with a cable. What graphical features are available, Wuebbling says: “On the mobile side, in games, we are where computers were 10 years ago.”

How mobile technology has changed the gaming industry

r1 - How mobile technology has changed the gaming industry

While young people on Xbox may have a hard time believing games are not new. It has been around for a long time and those who are a little older remember everything from jumping over ropes to pinball. But perhaps the most important way the gaming industry has evolved in recent years is the effects of mobile phones.

Phones, both internet and non-internet, have caused the gaming industry to swing in different directions.

And with mobile phones offering a new wave of iconic games, some companies have had work to do to preserve the legacy of top brands. This article looks at how the gaming industry is constantly changing – and what it means for both players and businesses.

New iconic games

In all game bodies, some games become iconic. For a console generation like Call of Duty, it’s called a classic. In the arcade generation, almost everyone loved a pinball-like game. But with every wave of new gaming technology, new iconic games are created. But when it happens on mobile, the pace of technological development means gaming companies have to work to maintain the status of games.

Perhaps the most obvious example of a mobile game that has achieved iconic status is Snake. This game, which sees a snake made up of pixels chasing food around the box as it grows and becomes more difficult each time, was first released on Nokia phones and was popular before smartphones arrived. But the constant cycle of new iterations of cell phone technology led to Nokia releasing Snake over and over again in models like the N80 and then giving other companies the right to use it. But now that Snake has been sold to another company, it’s likely that new iconic mobile games will emerge as technology evolves and changes in the future – meaning gaming companies must remain dynamic and agile.

More options

In each previous generation of games, the physical requirements to play the game meant that developers could specialize a little. Only people with gaming consoles can traditionally use video games, such as when you have to live near another city or city to walk in the arcade and play old classics.

But the ubiquitous mobile phone has changed all that. There are over 220 million smartphone users in America – and with a significant number of them desperate to play games to spend their time, developers are suddenly challenged to ensure everyone has the game they want. This is one of the main reasons why the mobile phone market is so diverse and why app stores see everything from general information issues to competitive multiplayer games.

Games were once something that could only happen in certain places, but now that almost everyone has a HIGH SOLUTION screen in their pocket, it’s really no surprise that mobile games are so popular. From the areas offered by mobile games to easy use of mobile games, it’s easy to see how mobile technology has really turned around the gaming world.

Beacon Technology your future for developing mobile apps

Beacon technology is becoming popular with the mobile app’s technology trends. The technology has made it a way to connect users to services or retailers through their location. The technology is used by sectors such as hotels, healthcare, retailers, etc.

If your hotel has a beacon technology installer, cartilage users crossing the hotel will receive event notifications and discounts staying at the hotel. Beacon technology also uses IoT to communicate with assistive devices.

Where can Beacon’s trends in mobile application technology help?

5G technology is a good thing for apps and uses more resources at a faster pace. Developers will be able to play more funksions in the app without worrying about slow network restrictions.

It is expected that 5G technology will reach more than 100 times faster than 4G. Companies like Samsung had already begun to include their technology in smartphones. Soon 5G will take over the network on the brand.

Cross-platform app support

Now that the hardware power of the devices is increasing, cross-platform dependency is also becoming popular. Users are looking for a game or application that can be used on multiple devices for data purposes.

Developing an independent across platforms has its own advantages. cross-platform apps are single-coded and can make them cheaper. Comparatively, cross-platform devices that have led can be unfolded based on a single code base. Blockchain is a security network of apps normally needed in banking, finance and cryptocurrency sectors. Blockchain is already used to protect cryptocurrency data from being tracked. In addition, blockchain is expected to have more applications in the future.

Since the day cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin became popular, data pirates have also increased in number. However, bitcoin technology can be used as a firewall between data and data pirates. It can be more advantageous for dough and penalty more if Blockchain and use it until your forehand when you fold out the app.

Mobile ecommerce network

Mobile commerce is nothing more than regular ecommerce. The only difference is that mobile commerce is based on application ions. The app trend has dominated the past few years, and even in 2021 comes the rapids that have occurred.

Mobile ecommerce network is a chain of multi-device devices used by large and small businesses. The apps are used for several activities such as selge products, advertising for them, coupon offers, etc. It is expected that 72.9% of ecommerce sales will come from mobile devices by 2021. That meant part of it. Predictive analytics is a concept where apps track users’ usage behavior and offer them personalized events. This is done through data mining, artificial intelligence, predictive analysis and data-based forecasts.

The purpose is to guess and give users what they can look for in the future. It is used in the prince’s note about famous companies such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple, Google, etc. Instant Apps is a concept that was launched a few years ago. But the popularity of this trend can be increased. This technology can be developed to build instant apps that can be accessed by the tool and install them in smartphones.

The purpose of instant apps allows you to build a battle preview for users to increase their trust. It can be avoided to avoid making rangers or rangers if the tool that you are not satisfied with the complete verse of the app. In addition, instant apps are also useful for convincing if it can add a good experience for the user. …

How will AR and VR affect future trends in the mobile app?

The AR or VR popularity of the gaming industry is already growing. Games like Pokemon Go are great examples.
AR and VR are also used in the fashion industry. It’s a great thing for users looking at nails or ice eye for a digital copy using AR. The learning industry uses VR for various specialties, such as meditation, engineering or aviation specialisation.

Increased mobile payment solutions

Mobile payment solutions are growing globally, giving users the freedom to carry cash. Now that digital paying is becoming a trend, more and more devices that include this service are trying to get to their users. In 2019, mobile wallets were used for $6.1 billion in transactions. By 2022, the same is expected to reach $13.98 billion.

Why are mobile app payment solutions growing?

For security reasons, it has no trouble transporting plastic money or cash everywhere.
Below, if your phone is lost or stolen, it is easy to prevent unauthorized payments.
The contact fee is also not an advantage.
6. Increasing popularity of on-demand apps
On-demand apps are significantly fuelling future trends in the mobile app industry. Now that almost everyone has smartphones, traditional mockers are getting older. For the most part, people want to use the app and get their preferences.

Users spend $57.6 million annually on on-demand apps. It also includes industries such as websites, grocery stores, transportation and other services. Some of the best examples of on-demand apps are Netflix, Uber, Amazon, etc.

More chatbot usage

The use of chatbots comes more conveniently to new applications from gjøre kanservice. Modern customers are livelier or less patient, looking for quick fixes. These chatbots or virtual assistants get a quick customer boost in mobile app industry trends.

The latest trends in mobile app development are the adoption of chatbots when it comes to keeping customers engaged and offering them quick fixes. In the meantime, more money will also need to be invested in customer service staff. Beacon technology is becoming popular thanks to mobile app technology trends. Technology has made it a way to connect users with services or retailers through their location. The technology is used by hotels, healthcare, retailers, etc.

If your hotel has a lighthouse technology installer, cartilage users crossing the hotel will receive event notices and discounts on staying at the hotel. Beacon technology also uses IoT to communicate with assistive devices. AMP is an integral part of new trends in mobile app development because it reduces the download speed of pages. AMP uses developers to create apps with faster download time, lower bounce speeds, and high performance.

AMP speeds up the page by holding JavaScript under the hood. However, it does not allow you to run the app’s performance. AMP also uses third-part javascripts and only allows GPU-based animasions, which are silk. Cloud-based technology trends in mobile apps make it difficult to sync apps across multiple devices. Continue that apps can use resources faster to download and view them on mobile sites. It is also cost-effective when it is not kreves physical hard drives to store server data.

What are these new trends in mobile app development?

In the third quarter of 2020, 2.87 million Androids and 1.96 million iOs devices were found in Statfølgeista’s research-friendly store. So it’s clear that competition is growing, and to stand out you need a sterk plan.

To make a plan, stay out of step with the latest software trends. I’ll see you anyway.

Artificial intelligence or machine learning

Artificial intelligence or machine learning has been around for some time. But every episode of AI gets smarter and smarter. A few years ago, AI was able to calculate equations and learn them. But now AI can speak, hear, observe and respond by learning accordingly.

According to Statista’s AI industry, it is expected to reach $126 billion by 2025. In 2018, the AI application market was valued at about $4.6 billion. The best example of the future of artificial intelligence is Google’s Duplex AI. A double-sided assistant can call you. However, artificial intelligence makes the sound sound human, and the conversation is tailored. It sounds robot like old-fashioned digital sounds.

Integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) with applications

IoT is one of the latest trends in the development of mobile apps, which are becoming popular. It can be clever on connected smartphones with modern household appliances. IoT is a network that enables seamless data transfer to build and manage targeted goals. In other words, trends in IoT mobile apps make wireless technology possible.

Wearable devices are seeing a big recovery in the market.
The number of connected mobile devices has grown to 722 million in 2019 from 325 million in 2016. More than a billion devices could be used by 2022.

Now, with this growth, these portable devices become part of everyday life. Therefore, portable devices play an important role in the latest terms of mobile apps.

How can Iot influence trends in mobile app technology?

IoT allows users to control their home appliances with their smartphones. IoT makes it possible to configure the centralization network for all devices. IoT increases security by providing users with remote management and access to security controls. It should be noted that these devices are used as a health monitor or trenings spores device. Minimize the use of smartphones in simple tasks like music, camera, clock, calendar, etc.

Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR)

AR and VR technology is on the rise thanks to its funk ion. It will be adapted in the gaming industry, education, reality shows, etc. The global AR and VR market is expected to reach $72.8 billion by 2024. In 2019, 2.8 million units of standalone VR gaming headsets were delivered worldwide. The most important contribution to AR or VR devices is made by technology giants like Google or Apple. Finally, Google is working on its Google Maps AR verse, which, using a funnel, becomes a more elegant and simpler question.

Top 3 Mobile App Development Technologies

More than a third of the world’s population is under decommissioning. South Africa, for example, was closed for 21 days. New Zealand imposed a 14-day quarantine on all persons in the country. The UK was completely closed on 23 March 2020. In a similarly surreal situasjon, it is important for bankers, which can include seamless banking experience for individuals and businesses. Adopting the latest trends in mobile app development is the best way to make it possible.

Augmented reality and virtual reality

AR and VR technicians are just mocking embeds for using leak app ion on mobile devices. Now you can use these techniques in other fields as well. Google Maps uses eczema AR to provide real-time control to mobile phone users. Snapchat and Instagram also use AR filters that can turn a person’s face into more digital funny characters.

What’s going on in banking?

Heather Bellini, ceo of the Global Investment Bank, could generate revenue of $80 billion by 2025 in the banking sector. Here are three ways AR and VR can take mobile banking apps to a whole new level.

New research suggests that AR and VR technology increases efficiency, whitefish safety and productivity in mobile banking applications.
According to a study published by Citi, ar/VR’s efficiency, speed and economic vision can be integrated into banking applications.
Fordyp UK produced a report which concluded that a combination of mobile banking and AR/VR technology can help drive the UK economy, especially when chips are down.

My verdict.

In such critical situations, the mobile banking app should be treated as an office that fits easily into your pockets. AR/VR loves other apps in practice to such an extent that people don’t rush to the office for business.

IoT (Internet of Things)

IoT is just a network of physical objects embedded in interconnected electronics, sensors and software. Major brands such as Samsung, Bosch and Xiaomi already have a large part of this technology. The global IoT market is expected to generate $1.335 billion by 2020 alone. Some of the most popular IoT app trends are Kisi Smart Lock, Google Home, etc.

The banking sector is generally known as conservative, slow and open to red tape. That’s exactly what we don’t need right now. IoT not only improves the speed of mobile banking, but also in many ways. Look at them.

Smart ATMs have been the most popular IoT devices, eliminating the expectation of standing in long queues at a brick-and-mortar bank. Now this solves two major problems.
[One, you can avoid being part of social gatherings like banks. Secondly, the need for employees in traditional industries is decreasing, bank costs are falling]

IoT has the power to simplify the operating models of banking applications. JPMorgan Chase consists of 51.8 million active digital customers and 36.5 mobile banking customers. The latter represents an increase of 7% on the previous year. With IoT, you can create a digital account within up to five mints in a goo.
24*7 working chatbots other wonders IoT. Some chatbots use machine learning and natural language processing to give customers a personal touch over time. IoT uses data processing algorithms to create wealth management insights for specific individuals. This increases the speed and accuracy of the accumulated financial information. This means that IoT allows compatible banking services to alert their users as soon as their financial stability is threatened.

Test IoT in mind

Since wearables can become an indispensable part of our lives, 2020 mobile testing trends can reflect this use of IoT. However, it presents new challenges for testing mobile apps when many IoT devices and portable devices sync with smartphones.

Problem number one is whitefish, but tests of reliability and funk ionity do not continue with standard test prose.

QA engineers should also focus on the test-as-user approach. To do this, testing with the right devices instead of emulators will be in the spotlight.

The diversity of IoT singing work equipment is huge. This also requires testing methods to cover the stability of the UX mobile app and connection. No wonder cloud testing is becoming increasingly popular – emulators can fully cover the fabrication of modern mobile app testing.

Test data and test environment management

While about 30 percent of the tests take place in traditional permanent testing environments, demand for a cloud-based temporary environment is increasing. Thanks to the flexibility and transparency of cloud-based testing, companies should look forward to structuring test data management (TDM) and test environment management (TEM). Currently, the most popular types of tests extracted from the cloud . The trend will continue to grow in 2020 as more customers use commercial cloud-based SaaS and PaaS products, and these non-conventional products can be tested in a trivial environment.

TDM is a challenge that comes to construction companies in the Neste years. Maintaining data integrity and creating test data in frequent versions, requirement changes, and multiple platform conditions is certainly a problem suggests in its World Quality Report 2019-20 that test data can be provided as a service in agile models. Companies need to have a new perspective on both the Ministry of Economic affairs and Employment and the Ministry of Economic affairs and Employment, which advises research companies at all levels, from finance to healthcare.

Test with real devices in the cloud

You can afford how to test your app on all the devices your customers want to use – by 2020, they’ll be coming to Kjøpe for around 1.5 million smartphones with research-related OS versions, screen resolutions, and more.

Since your business probably doesn’t have a separate ROM full of mobile devices and hundreds of pairs of free hands, it’s a way to combine test efficiency using a real device cloud. The optimal strategy for testing mobile applications in 2020 is to turn to the right devices and scale to the cloud.

There is no more method than testing the actual devices to control the interaction between users and applications and to secure high-quality products. Cloud devices are an excellent solution for manual and automated testing of large mobile applications and the best way to test SDLC in later stages.

Use AI for testing

The role of artificial intelligence in testing is not to replace human quality assurance professionals, but to streamline the testing process. By 2020, QA engineers will use artificial intelligence even more for specification data.

For example, test tests may require the human tester to monitor, use, and evaluate mobile applications. However, AI Testbot allows you to design test scenarios or write a single line of code that allows you to explore the API and report critical errors in user flow faster than a human tester.

Artificial intelligence can do “heavy lifting” and perform repetitive tasks such as performing, developing and analyzing tests to release the quen0s of data on creativity and critical thinking. Experts suggest that artificial intelligence for testing makes it difficult for software companies to make better use of devops and Agile methods and promote intensive publishing plans effectively.

What are the best mobile testing trends of 2020?

h3 - What are the best mobile testing trends of 2020?

It was time to automate. If you installed your test processor automatically in 2020 is for the most important time as crust. According to world quality report 2019 you are a test of utomasjon limited use one of the critical bottlenecks in quality assurance. Moreover, in circumstances where it is necessary to enter the market (and this is essential for mobile applications), it is a matter of survival that requires manual data on SDLC.

Since test automation enables successful devops and agile implementation, it is important to start choosing automation frameworks and tools to provide test time and velge coverage as soon as 2020 hits.

However, stay in place to remember that automating a food tester is a good start, you also need appropriate tools to help you understand the full potential of test automation.

DevOps and Agile Combined

Agile and DevOps are two methods that shape software development and testing today. Their implementation continues to change the mindset of the entire team or even of the organization: Tests must be continuous and go hand in hand with repetitive publications and repetitions.

Agile and DevOps expect a deeper connection between testers and developers. It consists of QA engineers who need to acquire certain coding skills, while developers need to delve deeper into testing. These approaches encourage teams to put an end to the division of responsibilities strictly and make product quality a common goal.

However, this means that you can replace the testers with an automated script – there can always be a soft one that deals with the quality of the product. In addition, manual testing remains essential.

Testing automation in the DevOps and Agile environment to develop mobile applications is the only way for shellfish crustaceans for a short time until the market for flawless products. So be sure to take advantage of both strategies in 2020.

Integrated tool chain with open standards

In line with the DevOps &Agile Combined trend, the usefulness of verktøyet will be built to open up standards that will be a top trend not only for mobile application testing, but also for the entire software development world by 2020.

Walk away on days when full stack automation tools folded by HP, IBM and Microsoft were the only option for developers. These full stack automation tools sounded good in theory, but they were very expensive and rigid.

Although it gave us more open source network, it was so effortless for the DevOps team, which didn’t have the tools to build and maintain its tool chain. Thus comes the DevOps tool chain, which has a pre-integrated grunn and is landscape, with standards that get forks from several DevOps teams.

Because it’s just as important that it becomes a test speed and a setback for business development as it is for smaller companies, large companies can integrate with mobile test automation providers built on top of older technology. These tools are expensive but not sacricated and difficult to meet the company’s changing testing needs.

13 Hacks to Make Your Android Smartphones Run faster

Blog10 - 13 Hacks to Make Your Android Smartphones Run faster

In buying smartphones, one of the major factors to consider is what operating system or user interface to choose – iOS or Android? Well, these two major operating systems have distinct strengths and edges from one another. In terms of functionality and smartness, iOS devices are our personal choice. But if you want a wide selection of choices, including high-end premiums and the others that are within your budget, then opt for Android phones.

In fact, Androids are the most used smartphones in the whole world. According to 2016 figures from Gartner, of the 432 million smartphones sold in the last quarter of 2016, 81.7% of it or 352 million are run by Android OS, whereas only 17.9 percent ran iOS. Impressive, right? Based on statistics, over 100 million Americans own Android phones in 2016, just 10 million ahead of iPhone users.

Indeed, Android phones are popular everywhere in the world. However, most users complain about some certain imperfections in Androids (It’s normal!) One of the common problems they are experiencing is how slow Androids are in terms of speed, performance, response, loading, and processing, among others. Don’t you worry! That is not a problem, actually. The solution to this problem is just inside your smartphone.

Follow these 13 hacks to make your Android smartphones run faster and better than ever:

Delete unused apps

It is very tempting to store more than dozens of apps in your Android because they have a generous storage, in which can be expandable, as well. However, too many apps can affect your phone speed and performance. Now is the right time to discern over all your apps and get rid of the ones that you are not using anymore.

Clear cached app data

Cached data for apps can build up over time and take a lot of space resulting to slow speed and performance. Thus, clear your cached data to remove old data and make the app run smoother. For sure, it will prevent apps from crashing or freezing. This method can be helpful in games, or even in social media apps like Facebook and Instagram.

Clean the system memory

Most Androids now have built-in system memory cleaners which free the RAM of your smartphone and boost the performance. Well, if you are using outdated Androids, don’t worry, you can install free cleaner apps available in Play Store.

r2 - 13 Hacks to Make Your Android Smartphones Run faster

Choose apps wisely

It will also help if you consider installing the lighter versions of apps. Popular apps like Facebook, Messenger, and Twitter have lite versions. They are designed for entry-level Androids. But more than that, it can help you reduce your data bill. Moreover, think twice or thrice before you install apps. Some apps are fake, stealing importance data and controlling your device. To avoid this, install apps from trusted and popular software provider.

Update your phone

Androids will prompt you if there are new updates. If there are any, do not hesitate to update your software or your OS. Updates are made to upgrade device, correct previous bugs, and impairments, and overall, boost speed and performance. BUT, check your device storage if it is still capable of updating. Some updates may be too heavy, occupying too much of your storage which will instead lead to poor performance.

Don’t auto-update apps

Most Androids automatically update built-in and installed apps. This happens when your device is connected to a Wi-Fi connection. The updating typically happens in the background. On the other hand, this will potentially slow down your phone performance because of certain processes happening in the background. Well, if you are not that avid of app updates, turn of the auto-updating of apps.

Restart your smartphone

It will also help you if you perform a restart sometimes, probably before you sleep. Restarting is equivalent to rebooting your computer. So, it will delete temporary files and clean up phone memory which will help your Android speed up.

Take advantage of cloud

Androids provide you a cloud storage allowance. Take advantage of it. Upload your files to the cloud to free your internal storage. Definitely, this will help speed up your Android smartphone.

Declutter your home screen

Just like desktop computers, it is important that your home screen is organized and clutter-free. Get rid of apps that are not for everyday use. Putting too much stuff can also put extra load on your Android’s hardware which will affect the device’s performance. Moreover, do not use live wallpapers and dozens of widgets sound as they can really slow your Android down.

r1 - 13 Hacks to Make Your Android Smartphones Run faster

Explore other launchers

Apart from the built-in launcher, there are tons of third-party launchers available in Play Store. They have distinct and unique shortcuts, customizations, and other options. Some of them are very simple. Others also can occupy too much space. So, be selective and cautious in choosing the third-party launcher.

Manage developer options

There is so much in your settings that can help your device work faster, just like the developer options. In the developer options, you can set the window and transition animation scales, including the animator duration scale. This will reduce the time wasted on unnecessary visual effects.

Turn-off auto sync

Sometimes, we love to upgrade our smartphones. On the other hand, our Google account remains the same. Most smartphones allow the automatic syncing of data, contacts, apps, and other content. Well, this can potentially reduce the performance and even the battery life of your device. Syncing of content will really take time, and storage, too. Thus, it can help you to turn-off sync if you are patient in manually copying data.

Perform a factory reset

If you do not have any choice and you still do not have a budget to buy a new Android, perform a factory reset. Basically, it will get rid of all the junk data and clean up your device, but it will also delete all the data and settings – back to scratch – fresh from the factory. Before you do this, make sure you back up all your data.

That’s it! We hope this will help your Android smartphone work faster, like brand new.

12 Simple Ways to Regulate your Children’s Use of Technology

Blog9 - 12 Simple Ways to Regulate your Children’s Use of Technology

Children today are born in a world where technology plays a vital role in people’s lives. Technology has improved business, education, entertainment, and healthcare, among others and innovation will continue to aid people in living and working more efficiently and productively. With this, the children will grow with knowledge about computers, TV, smartphones, and the Internet.

Based on a report from the Erikson Institute, the average age of children exposed to the use of technology is 6 years old. This involves television, smartphones, tablets, and computers. According to U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a child spends 8 hours a day just watching electronic screens.  In fact, 85% of parents worldwide just allow their children to use technology.

As a parent in this digital age, it is your primary responsibility to guide your children in using technology. In fairness, technology has certain benefits in the growth and development of children, especially in their learning. However, too much can be bad. It may cause impaired learning, sleep deprivation, decreased social interaction, addiction, obesity, and other illnesses.

What can we do as parents?

To help you, consider these 15 simple ways in regulating your children’s use of technology:

Let Them Learn New Things

To keep them busy, support your children in learning new things. If you think your children have potential in singing, enroll them in music classes. If they have passion in dancing, then send them to a dance school. It is important that children develop their skills and talents through action-based learning, where they can also socialize with other peers. Just do not force them to do what they don’t like.

Engage Them in Physical Activities

When children are addicted to gadgets, their lifestyle becomes sedentary, which may lead to obesity and may increase their risk to different illnesses. Thus, it is important that you encourage your children to have an active lifestyle by engaging in school physical activities or introducing them to sports. Sports offer many health benefits to children, including the development of self-esteem and stronger relationship with other people.

Set a Limit on Gadget Use

Do not prohibit your children from using gadgets, however, you can set a limit on their allowable time of use. According to research, it is best to limit your children’s screen time up to two hours only. It is also advised to give your children a schedule which states what time or day your children are allowed to access technology.

Make Sure They Sleep on Time

Sleep deprivation is one of the major negative effects of using technology. Computers and mobile gadgets emit radiation and bright lights that may suppress the production of melatonin, the hormone responsible for making us sleep. Thus, make sure that children go to their bed as early as 9 in the evening. Also, do not make accessible any gadget within their reach.

Always Communicate With Them

Make it a habit to communicate with them. It is very important in their development. One of the reasons why children resort to using gadgets because they have no one to talk to. Thus, make them find happiness in sharing knowledge and stories.

Teach Them the 20-20-20 Rule

This is very important not just for children but for everyone. Eye doctors suggest people to practice the 20-20-20 rule every time they use computers, gadgets, and smartphones, among others. This means that the user should take a break every 20 minutes, and focus on an object that is 20-feet away for 20 seconds. This can help your eyes relax and retain moisture from staring at screens for a long period of time.

Explain Them the Consequences

Part of communicating to them is being frank with them about the consequences of excessive use of technology. Tell them about the damaging side effects of using smartphones, tablets, gadgets, and computers. However, make sure that you stick to the fact. Do not exaggerate everything. Be mindful of the way you explain to your children.

Reward Your Children

Children love rewards. You can take advantage of this every time your children follows the schedule you set them with regards to technology use. Promise them to bring them to movies or buy the book she wants if they follow the “2-hour tablet-use policy” or any rules you set.

Gadgets are not “Babysitters”

Most parents right now rely on gadgets to comfort their children especially when they are crying or when they feel hungry. This is so wrong on so many levels. With this practice, parents are teaching their children that technology is the only solution. It is your primary role as a parent to teach them how to react to certain emotions.
